A real-time PCR test kit for rapid identification of the live vaccine strain Salmonella Enteritidis 441/014 in a wide range of primary production samples (feces, tissue, boot swabs, dust …).

The vetproof^® SE Vaccine Detection 1 Kit is a real-time PCR for the identification of the live vaccine strain Salmonella Enteritidis 441/014 (distributed as: Salmovac SE, Salmovac 440, Gallivac SE) in a wide range of primary production samples. In addition the test kit detects Salmonella field strains in a second channel, so field strains can be differentiated from the vaccine SE strain 441/014. Using melting curve analysis, distinction between S. Enteritids and S. Typhimurium serovars is possible.

The kit is available in lyophilized format, ready-to-use. Simply add the samples to the PCR tubes with pre-dispensed, lyophilized reagents and run the test.

An internal control is included in the assay to rule out PCR inhibition, preventing false negative results.
