The vetproof® PCV2-PRRSV-SIV qPCR Kit will detect the presence of genomic material of PCV2, PRRSV and SIV in extracts from oral fluids, swabs, and tissues for all 3 targets from domestic pigs. Extracts from serum, semen, blood (EDTA), processing fluids and FTA cards may be used for the detection of PRRSV and PCV2 from domestic pigs. Primers and probes are specific for each target species. PCV2 is detected in the ROX channel, PRRSV is detected in the FAM channel, and SIV is detected in the Cy5 channel of the real-time PCR cycler.
The kit includes an exogenous extraction control (Process Control) to monitor successful extraction and the absence of PCR inhibition, which is detected in the HEX channel. The kit contains RT real-time PCR master mix and all controls for the diagnosis of PCV2, PRRSV and SIV in veterinary porcine samples.
