vetproof® SL Mycoplasma Multiplex Detection Kit (M. gallisepticum, M. synoviae)
A highly sensitive and specific real-time PCR test kit for qualitative detection of Mycoplasma gallisepticum and Mycoplasma synoviae.
The vetproof® SL Mycoplasma Multiplex Detection kit will detect the presence of DNA from Mycoplasma gallisepticum and/or Mycoplasma synoviae in extracts from avian tracheal swabs. Primers and probes are specific for Mycoplasma gallisepticum and Mycoplasma synoviae; each probe is labelled with a specific fluorophore which is detected in a designated channel on the qPCR thermocycler. After extraction of the DNA, samples are added to plates along with the dedicated Reaction Mix. The prepared wells are placed in the qPCR cycler for amplification and detection.
The vetproof® SL Mycoplasma is used for:
- Screen for Mycoplasma free status
- Confirm diagnosis in suspect flocks
- Check for field strain absence prior to vaccination
- Monitor success of vaccination or antimicrobial treatment
